Notes: additional information for objects
Using Notes objects, you can add notes and comments in the navigation pane and on diagrams.
You can create notes at the following objects:
- System folders (and sub-folders of) Equipment, Systems, Areas, Processes, Documents and Hook-Ups
- Unit
- Equipment (including pipelines and flow streams)
- Local operating mode of an equipment
- Function
- Location
- Area
- Operating mode
- Process scenario
- Drawings
- Hook-Ups
Master shapes of the Notes stencil must be used to represent Notes objects on the diagram. In the Shape Properties at the master shape or at the shape on the diagram, you can define whether the notes are only to be placed on connections.
If a Notes shape is replaced, the shape property Placement permitted only on connections is only set if the original shape is located upon a connection.
If a Notes shape with the property Placement permitted only on connections is moved from the connection, or if the connection is deleted, the shape is also deleted.
You can use the Notes worksheet to display a list of all subordinate notes at one of the aforementioned start objects.
