Changing the display language of the Engineering Base Help
Normally, Engineering Base is installed in the language that corresponds to the Windows language settings.
Sometimes it may be necessary to install Engineering Base in a different language. The Engineering Base Help is still displayed in the language that is preset in the Windows settings/Time & Language/Language and Region. In the Registry Editor, you have the possibility to change the language of the displayed Help to the language of the installed Engineering Base version.
To customize the display language of the Engineering Base Help
- Close Engineering Base.
- Open the Registry Editor and open the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aucotec\Engineering Base.
- Open the folder of your installed Engineering Base version and click on the Client folder.
- Double-click the REG-DWORD PrimaryLanguage to open the entry dialog, change the decimal value and click OK.
- Double-click the REG-DWORD SubLanguage to open the entry dialog, change the decimal value and click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor.
- Start Engineering Base.
- When restarting Engineering Base, the entries in PrimaryLanguage and SubLanguage are saved internally, and they determine the display language of the Help.
If the Help is still not displayed in the language of the installed Engineering Base version, check the settings of the REG_DWORD DisableCachingOfSSLPages in the Registry Editor under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.
The value must be 0.If that is not the case, change the decimal value of DisableCachingOfSSLPages as described above.
If there is no translated Help for the defined language, the English Help is displayed instead.
