Copying and merging an interface object

Interface objects can be copied and merged using the drag and drop functionality. This will copy and merge the object, and this process is controlled by the Boolean attributes Interface Relevant and Interface.

  • If the object has the attribute Interface Relevant set, the object and its pins are copied and merged, but not its nested sub-objects.
  • If a cable has the attribute Interface set, the cable and the nested wires are copied and merged, even if the cable is part of an object which has the Interface Relevant attribute set.

To copy and merge an interface object

  1. Select the object in the navigation pane.
  2. Press Ctrl + G while moving the source object onto the parent object of the destination object.
  3. The cursor changes while hovering over a destination object.
  5. Release the mouse button to merge the source object and the destination object.
