Dear ELCAD users,

this file contains important information about the ELCAD / AUCOPLAN Version 7.12.0.

1. Installation of ELCAD / AUCOPLAN 7.12.0

2. New Functions

3. Fixed Bugs 7.12.0 SP1 April 20, 2017

4. Fixed Bugs 7.12.0

1. Installation of ELCAD / AUCOPLAN 7.12.0

For the installation you need administrator rights. ELCAD / AUCOPLAN installs the files according to the Microsoft specification in different system folders. The ELCAD / AUCOPLAN installation uses the following folders:

Programs:

%PROGRAMFILES%

C:\Program Files\aucotec\elcad\7120

(32-bit systems)

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\aucotec\elcad\7120

(64-bit systems)

User environment (aucotec.ini etc.):

%LocalAppData%

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\aucotec\elcad\7120

The user environment becomes available only after the first start of ELCAD/AUCOPLAN and the selection of the language of the work environment!

Sample data such as projects, symbols, translate files etc.:

Public documents

C:\Users\Public\Documents\aucotec\elcad\7120

2. New Functions

For the individual operations, an identification number (ID) is specified under which the corresponding operation is kept in our database. Please refer to the respective ID if you have any advice or remarks concerning the following operations.

167822

When graphic objects with a hatching are copied or moved, you can now specify that the hatching remains visible during the action. For this purpose, insert the following switch in the aucotec.ini:

[System]

ShowFillOnMove=1

151852

For very large projects, renaming the designation blocks (plant, function, location) throughout the project may take considerable time. Therefore, a status box is now shown during the adaptation of the designation blocks.

151853

For the function "Sort out all terminal diagrams", you now see the number of terminal diagrams to be regenerated before executing the action. By means of the button [Info], you can moreover view the affected terminal block designators in advance.

157623

In the status list "Symbols used", the configuration number of the symbol library has been added in the column "Symbol library". For symbol libraries of the same name coming from different folders, you can now see from which symbol library the symbol has been taken.

157734

If empty lists are output via "Export to drawings", then empty drawings are created. If you do not want to create empty drawings, then set the following switch in the aucotec.ini:

[Automatic]

ExportToDrawingNoEmptySheet=1

3. Fixed Bugs 7.12.0 SP1 April 20, 2017

177319

Copy of graphic elements

When executing several copy actions in drawing editing and symbol editing graphical elements like texts, lines, rectangles and circles were not copied. In a few cases the program crashed.

4. Fixed Bugs 7.12.0

For the individual operations, an identification number (ID) is specified under which the corresponding operation is kept in our database. Please refer to the respective ID if you have any advice or remarks concerning the following operations.

Drawing editing

151730

If the terminal block designer was opened for a terminal via the context menu, then the marking cross remained visible at the terminal symbol after closing the terminal block designer.

151832

When placing terminal symbols from the component tree, then the arrows marking the activated function "Search designator" were not displayed.

156915

If the column width in the Terminal Block Designer was not sufficient for the contents to be displayed, a Return was executed automatically. This resulted in an unwanted new sorting of the terminals.

159700

If you had switched over from the terminal diagram to the item tree using the function "Go to" and had subsequently opened the sheet of the representation via a terminal, then the item tree was deactivated and the drawing tree was opened. This could lead to a program crash during further processing.

Project editing

151809

Up to now, when a project was already set up as a server project, it was nevertheless possible to set it up as server project again. This created redundant projects on the server. Now projects retrieved from the server for editing can no more be used for setting up another server project. The attempt is now aborted with a program message.

151865

After regeneration of the cable information in the item editor (with disabled cable functionality) via "Regenerate cable", the displayed data was not updated.

155675

The output of revisions as PDF did not function if the view in the drawing tree had been reduced with the representation filter to the display of revisions.

160094

Up to now, the import of macros from external projects functioned only if the source and target projects were stored in the same path. Now you can accept macros also from projects stored in other folders.

List editing

151776

When regenerating the status list "Terminal blocks", an error message was issued if the names of the blocks were longer than 52 characters. Therefore, the data field length for the block designator has been expanded to 58 characters.

Import, export and interfaces

151737

When drawings using Windows fonts were output with the function SAVE AS/DWG, then the position of the reference points for texts was wrong if the texts had their reference points on the right or in the middle and the scaling was between 50% and 200%.

157438

When exporting to the DOCware Parts-Publisher, the symbol type 12 (device shown in distributed form) is now properly passed.

151876

In project archiving you can specify that the output formats and standard texts are also to be stored in the project. If these options were activated and very long project paths were used at the same time, then an error message was issued.

154965

If during project archiving via the EDM interface formats were supposed to be archived as well but did not exist, then an error message was issued instead of writing the error into the log file.

160019

The component transfer to Siemens and Beckhoff systems in the item tree using the right mouse button on the node I/O Components was no longer possible. With the ELCAD Professional license, the function is again available. You can therefore again generate XML transfer files from the project data.

Batch processing

166571

In the batch action "Output drawings for AUCOTEC-Viewer/Mechatronic Explorer", erroneous transfer data was created whenever the option "Enable navigating / searching" was activated under USER/OUTPUT/GRAPHIC EXPORT/PDF FORMAT.
