You need administrator rights to change this registry setting.The Backup Reminder comes up with the start of Engineering Base to remind you to make a backup. If your system administrator creates a backup regularly, you can disable the Backup Reminder.
To disable the Backup Reminder
Quit Engineering Base.
Start Registry Editor.
Look for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Aucotec\Engineering Base\<EB version>\Client\Settings key.
Create a new DWORD value StopReminder and set the value to 1.
Start Engineering Base.
The Backup Reminder will no longer come up when starting Engineering Base.
