Changing the grid color for Visio

To change the grid color for Visio

1. Quit Engineering Base.

2. Start Registry Editor.

3. Look for the key

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\VisioEngineeringBase when you use Visio 2010

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\VisioEngineeringBase when you use Visio 2013

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\VisioEngineeringBase when you use Visio 365 Plan 2

4. Create a new key Colors.

5. Create a new string value ColorGridForeground.

6. On the shortcut menu, click Modify.

7. In the Value data box, type the string 230 230 230 or another value for the grid color.

8. Click OK to save your changes.

9. Start Engineering Base.

Engineering Base uses the new grid color in the Visio windows.

 You need administrator rights to change this registry setting.
