Please install Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visio before you install Engineering Base.

SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2016 SP1 and SQL Server 2017 are supported to use with Engineering Base.

If a supported version of SQL Server is already installed on your system, a new instance for use with Engineering Base can be created during the Engineering Base setup.

If you have purchased Engineering Base including SQL Server licenses, setups are available for the installation of SQL Server for ist use with Engineering Base.

As from SQL Server 2016 SP1 SQL Management Studio will no longer be installed with SQL Server and has to be downloaded from Microsoft and installed separately.

Visio 2010 (x86), Visio 2013 (x86), Visio 2016 (x86) and Visio 365 (x86) (Online Plan 2) are supported to use with Engineering Base.

If a supported version of Visio is already installed on your system, it can directly be used with Engineering Base.

If you have purchased Engineering Base including licenses for Visio, setups are available for the installation of Visio for its use with Engineering Base.

Engineering Base will install the .Net Framework 4.5 if it does not exist.
