4.2           Updating Databases of Previous Engineering Base Versions

Before you can use databases of previous Engineering Base versions with the current Engineering Base version, you need to update them using the Engineering Base Database Manager.

Otherwise, you will get the following message on starting Engineering Base: Incorrect database version!

To update an existing Engineering Base database

1.      On the Windows start menu, select Engineering Base and click Database Manager.

The Engineering Database Manager opens.

2.      Select the SQL Server in the navigation window and click Update database on the SQL Server Instance menu ribbon.

A list shows all existing databases.

3.      Select the databases to be updated and click Start.

4.      After the update has finished, quit the Database Manager.
