·         Shape
Bezeichnung für die grafische Darstellung eines Objektes in einem grafischen Dokument. Im Allgemeinen lautet die  Bezeichnung in anderen CAE-Systemen „Symbol“.

·         Shape
Designation for the representation of an object in a graphic document. In other CAE-systems is "Symbol" or “Block”.

·         Produkt
Objekte, die das oberste Strukturelement eines Stammdatensatz bilden. Produkte können Geräte oder Verbindungen sein oder beinhalten (Kompositprodukte).

·         Product
Objects of the highest structure element of a device data. Products can be devices or connections or part of them (composit products).

·         Gerät
Geräte sind Produkte oder Teile von Produkten, die eine oder mehrere Funktionen ausführen.

·         Device
Products or parts of products which execute one or some functions.

·         Verbindung
Verbindungen sind Produkte oder Teile von Produkten, die Geräte bzw. Anschlüsse von Geräten miteinander verbinden. Verbindungen sind gewerkunabhängig.

·         Connection
Products or piece of products which connect devices or pins. Connections are independent of the using area

·         Funktion
Objekte unterhalb eines Produktes, die ein weiteres Strukturelement mit Unterstrukturen bilden. Im Allgemeinen ist dies ein Gerätetyp.

Der Name entspricht dem Begriff aus der IEC 61346, alternative Bezeichnungen wären Teilgerät oder Sub Device.

·         Function
Objects below a device with structure with own sub structures. Normally these are device types.

The name is the same like definition in the IEC 61346, alternative designation is sub device.

·         Anreihgeräte
Geräte mit einem Rückwandbus (Bsp.: SIEMENS S7-300), meist SPS-Geräte.

·         Series devices
Devices with a rear panel bus (e.g..: SIEMENS S7-300), normally PLC devices.

·         Antriebssteuerungen
Antriebssteuerungen sind alle Geräte, die Motoren steuern. Darunter fallen z.B. Frequenzumrichter, Motorstarter, Motion Drives. Beispiele sind SIEMENS SINAMICS G120 und SIEMENS ET200S DSx1.

·         Drive controls
Drive controls are all devices which control motors. These include frequency converters, motor starters, motion drives, for example. Examples are SIEMENS SINAMICS G120 and SIEMENS ET200S DSx1.

·       Normshapes
Normshapes sind die Darstellungen, die direkt aus der Norm IEC 617/ DIN EN 60617 als Referenzsymbole zu entnehmen sind.

·       Standard shapes
Standard shapes are the representations which are to be directly taken from standard IEC 617/ DIN EN 60617 as reference symbols.

·       Funktionsshapes
Darstellungen für komplexe Geräte wie Antriebssteuerungen, SPS-Geräte und I/O’s sind nicht direkt aus der Norm IEC 617/ DIN EN 60617 zu entnehmen. Grund dafür kann sein, dass eine normgerechte Darstellung ungeeignet ist.

·       Function shapes
Representations for complex devices such as drive controls, PLC devices and I/Os are not to be directly taken from standard IEC 617/ DIN EN 60617. The reason for this could be that a standard standard-related representation is unsuitable.

·       Anreihshapes
Geräte mit einem Rückwandbus (Bsp.: SIEMENS S7-300) werden so dargestellt, dass die Shapes direkt nebeneinander platzierbar sind.

·       Series shapes
Devices with a rear panel bus (e.g. SIEMENS S7-300) are represented in such a way that the shapess can be placed directly next to each other.
