4.3           Tool Palette

On editing diagrams, the tool palette enables you to quickly access those shapes and circuit components that are needed in your project. In Visio, the tool palette can be displayed in all sheets to which a smart diagram type has been allocated.

The tool palettes are defined in the database templates; and you can select which tool palettes are to be available in Visio in the project properties.
