3.1 Object History
During the project planning phase, projects are revised multiple times and the objects contained therein are changed. To get an overview of the changes that have been made, Engineering Base allows you to record the changes with its History function. For the changes, either the user or the user's department will be saved. Moreover, the date and time of the change as well as the changed attribute or the changed role will be saved together with its old and new values.
On copying an object, its history will not be copied. In contrast to that, you can select whether a project is to be copied together with its history data on copying it via Paste Special.
Preconditions for the use of the Object History:
· Enable the history function in the Database properties under General/History and specify whether the user name or the user’s department is to be displayed as user information.
· If the user management is enabled for the database, the user must obtain the permissions Enable History and View History under Project Properties/General/Access Control.
· Enable the history function in the Project properties/History.
