2.8           Extensions of the Item Selection for the "Import of E-CAD Master Data" (EB 6.7.1)

The Import of E-CAD Master Data wizard offers the functionality to import EPLAN P8® Master Data from external manufacturer catalogs into Engineering Base catalogs. Apart from commercial and technical data (e.g. order number, current, or power), available data on component related symbol data may be archived as master-shapes on the Engineering Base stencils.

Extensive modifications were made in the selection dialog Items list:

·            Using the check box in the top corner on the left of the dialog, all entries listed in the table can be activated or deactivated for the import. All entries are activated when the dialog is opened. If you want to import single items only, deactivate all entries first via the check box and then select the items to be imported.

·            For each column, a string with placeholder characters ("*") can be entered to filter the data to be displayed.

·            The item lists now contain the columns "Product Top Group", "Product Group" and „Product Sub Group".

·            The languages contained in the import file are displayed in selection list. By selecting a language abbreviation, you can limit the display of the data to lines, which contain column entries of the selected language. If one of these line contains a text that does not correspond to the language filter, the character string "<Empty text>" is displayed in the column. If no language filter is selected, all texts of the import file are displayed in the item list.

·            On each line of the item list, you can start an XML browser by a double-click or via the context menu, which displays the XML data of the item.
