The Search field - full-text search in the Product Guides

Using the Search field, you can start a full-text search in all Product Guides.

You can search for one or more search terms:

All help pages that contain the exact compound search term.

Example: "Terminal Block Designer"

All help pages that contain "Terminal Block Designer" are displayed.

one search term or several search terms

OR search

All help pages that contain at least one of the entered search terms.

Example: Terminal Block Designer

All help pages that contain either Terminal or Block or Designer are displayed.

Disadvantage: This type of search often leads to a large number of hits.

Using the search

  1. Enter one or several search terms into the search field.
  2. A list of alternative search terms that contain the search term(s) you have entered is offered for selection below the search field.
  3. Confirm via Enter.
  4. All help pages found are listed on the displayed page of search terms.
  5. Click the title of a help page to open it.

  6. A tab with the entered search term in the format Search: [Search term] is created in the upper part of the help page. By clicking that tab, you can navigate back to the search results at any time.

    If you click the Content button while a page is opened, the title of that help page is highlighted in the structure of the table of contents. That way, you get an overview on related topics.
